Many times, HVAC problems exist, and action is needed to be taken. In some cases, companies or building owners hire mechanical engineers to take on this task. It is at this critical stage that an Existing System Survey is invaluable in determining what the exact state of a buildings HVAC system is in. In order to improve, modify or update a system, you must first have all of the available information possible for each mechanical system in your facility. An existing system survey will let the owner/engineer know how much flow each system has, how much outside air is entering, how much exhaust is leaving and what the condition and flow is of the hydronic systems through out the facility.
